Art n PraiseIt's been awhile now to find another location for our free art group. We have relocated to the wonderful Salvation Army Waltham Corps in Waltham Massachusetts. Now we have two groups a month. One on Mondays and one on Fridays. Both held from 11am-1pm.
On March 18th we all painted palms for Palm Sunday and displayed our work in the Sanctuary on Palm Sunday. It was beautiful! Our next Group will be on Monday April 29th from 11-1pm. This is a free group for Christians interested in the arts and how to learn together in a safe and welcoming environment. If you are interested please contact the Salvation Army Waltham Corps. @ 781-894-0413

Meet QKMeet our new Artist QK. A seventeen year old who is showing her work for the very first time! Please be sure to comment and show some positive encouragement.QK has been creating art ever since she could hold a crayon. She is presently in high school with a part time job caring for afterschool children. She shares her love of art and making things when she is caring for them. When not working at school QK is busy with many new projects such as new paintings, creating unique miniature spaces and drawing in her sketchbook of which she has many. You Can see her artwork here. The first sketch was out of my desire to create my own reverse coloring book. You know, they give you the paint and you make the lines. The second was inspired by Isaiah 61:11
Our Latest groups...Paint n Praise is a Christian painting group open to the public and absolutely free. The group meets in person at The Salvation Army, Cambridge Corps, 402 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge Massachusetts, USA. Our next Paint n Praise is Saturday November 19th, 2022, from 1-3 pm. We will not be holding a group in December due to the busy holiday month at our corps. The Heavens Declare...This is a church painting that I did as a gift to our mens's shelter at The Salvation Army Cambridge Corps. Wow, what a labor of love. Many of the people there have made a home of our shelter and even being offered another place to live, they call our shelter home.
I thought they deserved a painting that was bright and cheerful and would remind them of just hoe great our God is. It is a 36 X 48 acrylic on canvass that is untitled. "Ocean and Clouds"Acrylic On Canvass, Framed, 8X10. Another painting done with an online class. Framed
This Is MeThis was a collaberative work between Major Bessie Babbitt, our salvation Army Corps officer at the time and myself. It was used as a backdrop for the women at a women's retreat to have a photo of themselves at some point to make a memory of that experience.
It was acrylic on loose canvass and was approximately 6' X 6'. Merry Snowy Christmas
